Whilst there are many flights which goto Panama from South and North America there are very few other airlines who fly to Panama.

Prices from Europe can vary dramatically depending on the time of year, I looked up fares from London to Panama and the best fares I could find at this time were
Economy Class – Fares start from GBP346 for a return ticket on Air Europa with Iberia from GBP387 and Turkish GBP418 and can go as high as GBP700
Business Class – Air Europa and Iberia appear to have the cheapest business fares which start from GBP1599 with KLM around GBP1700, Turkish is around the same price but never appears on fare comparison sites for Business class as it involves a slightly longer route.
Alternative Routes from Europe
I have not tried many of these so far but I found the route via Miami to be an excellent alternative, however I have global entry for the US and you have to clear customs and immigration in Miami which can be a bit of a problem.
Other alternatives include via Bogota on Avianca (but be wary of this until they come out of bankruptcy protection)
